I have been with West Host for about 4 months now and could not be happier. I have used many others in the past and none compare. They are always giving me even more than I paid for and keep adding more bandwidth and storage. And the amount of features they offer is amazing. No setup fees for all the extra features.

Terrific speed, support is very good. So, why an 8? Because the controls stink. The WestHost control panel is medieval, taking forever to perform tasks. Then, there is minimal feature control within the panel. Most functions are performed through shell access, so if you're not proficient with UNIX, you will be lost. The manual isn't well written, either. Functions which are handled easily through CPanel or Plesk require special handling through the shell access. With a better manual and CPanel or Plesk, this host would be the cat's meow for everyone and not just UNIX geeks. These things would be something I'd be willing to pay extra for, but they are unavailable, unless you are willing to buy/install them yourself. As primarily a VPS provider, WestHost does well, but there are others with better documentation and controls for not much more money.
