IP Address

Every computer on the Internet has a unique IP (internet protocol) address. An IP address is a unique numeric label that is assigned to each computer in a network. An IP address is used to identify the computer that information is being transferred to or from and the location of that computer. When you type in a website name the network has to translate that name into a numeric code that will then be used for all data transmission.
